How Is This Calculated?

This calculator uses the Mifflin-St Jeor Equation, the most accurate formula for estimating Basal Metabolic Rate (BMR):

Men: BMR = (10 × kg) + (6.25 × cm) − (5 × age) + 5
Women: BMR = (10 × kg) + (6.25 × cm) − (5 × age) − 161

Your BMR is multiplied by an activity factor (1.2–1.9) to get your TDEE — the total calories you actually burn per day.
